NedGraphics @ Heimtextil!
The NedGraphics team got 2023 off to a cracking start by participating in Heimtextil in Frankfurt in early January. Heimtextil is the leading global trade fair for home textiles, this year attracting 44,000 visitors and 2,400 exhibitors from 129 nations.
We welcomed customers and met prospects from several European countries, as well as from Turkey, Brazil, Mexico, and India. Our team were kept busy demoing our latest version of NedGraphics and Aquario software products, resulting in our first Aquario order for the Turkish team!
Our booth was well situated in the Designers Hall, its eye-catching graphics stood out well and the demo pods were in constant use. We sensed our competitors were a little envious!
The fair explored the theme of sustainability in textiles, with lectures and exhibits indicating a growing consciousness in understanding how textiles can be reused as part of a circular economy. Several speakers talked about their work in the fashion apparel and home textile space, and how important it is for designers to consider garment or fabric reuse from the early stages of the design process. It is certain that many NedGraphics and Aquario customers are having these discussions internally.
Congratulations to the Team for a successful Heimtextil fair!

How Hudson’s Bay Takes Control of Color
It’s no secret that Hudson’s Bay Company is one of the leading department stores in the United States, but they do have a secret weapon helping them continue to wow customers and keep them returning for the latest fashions.
These days, trends can rise to popularity and fall out of style faster than ever before. Customers shopping online and in stores want to find the latest fashion quickly and for a reasonable price. HBC has found a way to not only keep up with seasonal shifts, but also cut down their time to market and get the latest styles in stores faster than ever.
Since switching to NedGraphics color management tools in 2014, the design team at Hudson’s Bay Company (HBC) saves hours every day creating colorways and color matching.
“Easy Coloring Pro is a great tool for efficiency because I can quickly recolor prints,” says Jessie Bloom, CAD Designer. “I am able to turn around color changes very quickly, and I can see what different colorways will look like without having to print them out each time.” Bloom is also able to easily match colors using NedGraphics Calibration.
Traditional methods of color matching with off-the-shelf software can take weeks for a design team to complete, making it extremely difficult to get new styles and colors onto store racks and into customers’ closets. Read the full story to learn how HBC and its divisions got the edge they need to keep up with constantly shifting trends
